I. Tell us about artists, researchers, or scholars (including yourselves!) who generate art over darkness. Are you an artist (theater, performance, music, writing, visual), researcher, or scholar producing working in contexts of armed conflict, war, systemic social or political repression whose creative expression seeks to transcend unbearable conditions. Or a humanitarian worker who knows about such work? Reach out! We want to feature your work and may be able to provide small grants, referrals, artful networking, and professional connections.
II. Reach out to connect featured artists and scholars with professional opportunities and industry networking. Are you a producer, publisher, journalist, conductor, curator, gallery owner, content creator or influencer? We would love to connect artists and scholars doing this work so you may amplify and elevate their stories and creations and the message of collective humanity.
III. Contribute to funding scholars, artists and advocacy. Your donation will help to foster art creation and cross-disciplinary research with an emphasis on written, sung, and performed words that elevate, enliven and sustain life during humanity’s darkest hours. Your contribution will also support advocacy effort to for greater funding and acknowledgement of art as a basic need. Humanitarian assistance rarely funds cultural or artistic endeavors, yet creative expression is a powerful tool for better health, resilience, hope and peacebuilding. We want to change that! Our quest is to elevate the transformative power of art and creative joy as pathways for dialogue, bridge-forming, and peace ethos.
IV. Share our core credo of art’s irrepressible power to uplift the human spirit and unite humanity toward peace.
